Simple crochet flower 2 tier 6 petals

|

In this tutorial with I will show you how to crochet this simple but beautiful FLOWER🌸. It is perfect to use for decoration because it is flat and you can sew or glue this crochet flower applique almost anywhere.

Different sizes of yarn and crochet hook give you different sizes of flowers.

Crochet stitches used to make this flower:

  • magic ring
  • slip stitch sl st
  • chain stitch - ch
  • single crochet stitch - sc
  • increase stitch (2sc in 1) - inc
  • double crochet stitch - dc
  • triple or treble crochet stitch - tr

Materials needed:

  • crochet hook
  • yarn (appropriate size for the crochet hook)
  • scissors
  • needle

Start with a magic ring

  • R1: 6sc – 6st
  • R2: 6inc – 12st
  • R3: working in front loops only : (sl st, ch2, dc), (dc, ch2, sl st) – 6 times
  • R4: working in back loops only : {sc, inc} x6 – 18st
  • R5: (sl st, ch2, dc), (2tr), (dc, ch2, sl st) – 6 times

Finish off and work the ends in.

I added some seed beads on the centre piece so it gets a bit of bling.

To be honest... I think you should also secure it a bit with a needle and some yarn if it is the snap clip - they usually have a hole in the back where it's joined together - well with the ones I was working with they had. If it is a claw clip then the hot glue gun would do.

I also used seedbeads to put a bit of blink on the flower. I will use if for a hairclip for my niece. Its soon her birthday and she is into all the flowery/pink/blinking thing at her age. Do you think a glue gun would be enough?
