Mini crochet Christmas tree Ornament
|
This mini crochet Christmas tree is a great project that’s quick, easy, and perfect for the holiday season. Whether you’re looking to decorate your home, make personalized gifts, or simply enjoy a handmade ornament you have to try this tutorial.
This is a an upgrade from a previous tutorial for a mini Christmas tree I already made couple of years back. You can find that pattern in this link for the Crochet Mini Christmas Tree.
The base is the same, just the branches are different and I think in this tutorial the Mini Christmas tree ornament is faster to crochet.
The stitches used in this pattern for the Mini crochet Christmas tree are:
- magic ring
- sl st - slip stitchch - chain stitch
- sc - single crochet stitch
- inc - increase: 2 sc in 1
- dc - double crochet stitch

Note!
Every second row is done in the back loops only!
If 4 stitiches is to small for you to work with, you can begin with 6sc in the magic ring and then do Row 3
And you can make more or less rows - depending on how big you want your Christmas tree to be.
Pattern for the base cone of the mini crochet Christmas tree:
- R0: magic ring
- R1: 4sc – 4 st
- R2: 4sc – 4 st

Pattern and tips for the branches of the Christmas tree:
- each “branch” is made from 6dc in 1 stitch, skip 1 stitch, sl st, skip 1 stitch and you continue this all the way around the base
- first row is done in the back loops only
- second and all the rest of the rows are done in the front loops
- every now and then you need to level up, but you just continue with the same thing of 6dc in 1, skipping a stitch, slip stitch, skipping 1 stitch and again 6dc in 1
- last two rows are: ch5, sl st, make few, then go down to ch4, sl st and make few, and then go down to ch3, sl st make few and finish
- but if you want, you can also just make the clusters of 6dc all the way up to the top

Then you have to soak it in water (or sugar water, or any other blocking option) and tidy and straighten the branches. I used some tweezers to pull them into the correct position.
And when it is dried up I used some hot glue and some beads and pearls and attached them to the mini Christmas tree as bulbs. And that was it!
