Crochet Wreath Base Pattern

The stitches used in this easy to make crochet wreath pattern for the are:
- slip knot
- ch - chain stitch
- sc - single crochet stitch
- inc - sc increase stitch (make 2sc in 1)
Materials needed to crochet a wreath base:
- yarn
- crochet hook – appropriate size for your yarn – 3,5 mm in the video tutorial
- needle
- fiberfill
Notes about the pattern:
- This crochet wreath holds its shape without bulky plastic or wire bases.
- Customize with flowers, leaves, beads or any other seasonal embellishments – it offers an endless design possibilities
- What makes this pattern truly special is how easy it is to adjust. If you want a mini wreath for ornaments? Use a smaller crochet hook and some lace yarn. Or make the base smaller – do only 30 chain stitches for the base.
- Need a big, bold front-door crochet wreath? Use a thicker yarn and a bigger crochet hook and add the number of chain stitches in the begining and start with 42, 48, 54, 60 or more chian stitches!
- If you want it thicker? Add the number of rows of increase stitches. All the increase rows are the multipe of 6.

The flexibility of this design means you can create exactly what you need without being limited by pre-made wreath forms.
Crochet WREATH pattern:
- R0: 36ch
- R1: join the circle in top loop of the first chain with a sc, 35sc – 36st
- R2: {5sc, inc}x6 – 42st
- R3: {3sc, inc, 3sc}x6 – 48st
- R4: {7sc, inc}x6 – 54st
- R5: {4sc, inc, 4sc}x6 – 60st
- R6,7: 60sc – 60st - join invisible
First part of the wreath is done. Now you are make the second part that are done in the same chain stitces as the first part, but only on the bottom loops.

Note! See the picture below how to turn the work when you begin!
- R'1: 36sc in the bottom loops of the base circle – 36st
- R'2: {5sc, inc}x6 – 42st
- R'3: {3sc, inc, 3sc}x6 – 48st
- R'4: {7sc, inc}x6 – 54st
- R'5: {4sc, inc, 4sc}x6 – 60st
- R'6,'7: 60sc – 60st
Leave a long tail, join invisible turn the work and sew together trough back loops only the first and second part.
