Crochet teddy bear

|

This little amigurumi bear is super easy to make and with this simple pattern anyone can master it. If you want to learn how to crochet and perhaps make something for yourself, your kids or for someone else as a handmade gift this amigurumi project is just perfect.

With my 3mm crochet hook it is about 12cm tall.

The stitches used in this pattern for the crochet bunny are:

  • sl st – slip stitch
  • ch – chain stitch
  • sc – single crochet stitch
  • inc – increase single crochet stitch – make 2sc in 1
  • dec – decrease single crochet stitch – join 2sc in 1

Materials needed for the crochet egg:

  • crochet hook (3mm)
  • yarn (appropriate size for the crochet hook)
  • scissors
  • needle
  • stuffing - you can use polyester fiberfill, cluster fiberfill, recycled cotton filling, rice,...
  • safety eyes (2) or buttons (2) or embroidery thread

Start with the arms, then make the legs, and don't cut the yarn of the second leg, because with the second leg I join the first leg, do the body, attach the arms and make the head all in one go. At the end just attach the ears, make the nose and you are done.

In the video tutorial you can see the whole process and I also show you how to position the arms, eyes and ears.
