Crochet stitches, terms and schematic symbols
|
With crocheting it all begins with knowing the names of stitches, terms and sometimes even stitch symbols to read diagram pattern.
To start in the beginning I want to make clear what kind of terms for stitches I use in my patterns and how to convert them between what is known as US and UK names.
In my patterns I use US crochet terms.
Here is a chart of basic crochet stitches, names, symbols and how to convert from US to UK or the other way.
In all of the free patterns you will find here I am using US crochet stitch terms.
For some crochet projects I also provided crochet diagrams for you to follow a long. Each piece that I crochet I also make a YouTube video tutorial, to show you how to crochet and also for reference how long it takes to crochet just a little flower or a simple amigurumi
If you like what you see and want to learn more be sure to to my YouTube channel to get notified of new video tutorials!
Now that you know the basics names of crochet stitches I invite you to browse over the pattern library and pick your next project.
Happy crafting
Alex xx
