Crochet rose garden brooch

This crochet statement jewelry brooch is made from four (4) different sizes of roses and with the YouTube video tutorial how to make them and how to sew them together you can make one for yourself or as a gift.

With a 3mm crochet hook it measures about 9x7cm or 3,5x2,75inc and with a 1,75mm crochet hook it measures about 5x4cc or 2x1,75inc.

The stitches used:

  • sl st – slip stitch
  • ch – chain stitch
  • sc – single crochet stitch
  • dc – double crochet stitch

Materials needed for the crochet flowers:

  • crochet hook (3mm)
  • yarn (appropriate size for the crochet hook)
  • scissors
  • needle
  • stuffing

This crochet rose garden brooch is made from 5 roses in 4 different sizes.

I call then MAXI, MIDI, MINI and MICRO. The patterns are all identical the only difference is the number of chains in row one (1).

Row 1:

MICRO crochet rose base: ch7

MINI crochet rose base: ch22

MIDI crochet rose base: ch37

MAXI crochet rose base: ch55

remember the last chain – put a marker in
 

Row 2: ch5, dc in the marked stitch, {skip 2ch and in the 3rd ch from the hook dc, ch2, dc in the same stitch} x 2, 7, 12, 18 – in total you will have 3, 8, 13, 19 V spaces on your chain

Row 3: ch1, 6dc in the ch2 of the previous row, sc in between 2dc from the previous row, {6dc, sc}x 1, 6, 11, 17, 6dc, ch1, sl st in the 3rd stitch from the ch5 or the previous row

 

 

Pattern for the leaf: ch6, in each of the chain do (ch1, sc), hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc cut yarn and fasten off

Pattern for the back side:

  • R1: 6sc – 6st
  • R2: 6inc – 12st
  • R3: {sc, inc} x6 – 18st
  • R4: {sc, inc, sc} x6 – 24st
  • R5: {3sc, inc} x6 – 30st
  • R6: {2sc, inc, 2sc} x6 – 36st cut yarn and fasten off

Sew the back side with the pin to the crochet rose base.

    Thank you for sharing. I love that I can make the size that I want. They all look great. I think I will use the pattern for the maxi one and make a bookmark out of it. I know I saw pattern for it here.
