Crochet Easter egg basket with handles and flower applique
|
The pattern can be easily adjusted to any size of an egg. For this tutorial I am using a 3mm crochet hook and a “normal” or a standard size egg.
The increase is of the number of six (6) until you reach the desired size of the bottom of a basket.
For my egg and my crochet hook I only needed to go up to stitch count of 36. If you need a smaller basket, then you can stop at 30 stitches or 24 and if you want to make a bigger basket then you can continue with the increases of 6 until the size you want (42 or even 48 stitches).
The stitches used in this pattern for the tulip flower egg basket are:
- magic ring
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain stitch
- sc – single crochet stitch
- inc – increase single crochet stitch – make 2sc in 1
Materials needed for the letter:
- crochet hook (3 mm) for the basket and a (1.5mm) for the flowers and leaves
- yarn (appropriate size for the crochet hook) – beige for the basket, yellow for the flowers and green for the leaves
- scissors
- needle
