Crochet alphabet letter R
|
This crochet letter R pattern is a easy to follow along with diagram, written pattern row by row and for just in case a YouTube video tutorial if you want to double check how a stitch is made or joined.
Crochet letters are the latest home decoration trend for quoted wall art, party places, kids nurseries, playrooms, bedrooms.
Add your wall area, shelf or a mantle word expressions of love, family and happiness.
You can use the crochet letters for education purposes also. The kids love to play with these large and soft crochet amigurumi letters to spell their and other names or words.
The crochet letter R is 30 rows high. With my 3mm crochet hook it comes out around 13cm (5inc) high.
The stitches used in this pattern are:
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain stitch - o
- sc – single crochet stitch - X
- inc – single crochet increase stitch (make 2 in 1) - V
- dec – single decrease crochet stich - upside down V
Materials and supplies needed for the project:
- crochet hook (pick your size regarding the yarn)
- yarn (cotton)
- scissors
- needle
- fiberfill / stuffing / filling
You can use the letter just as it is (blocking it) but I will be making 2 of each and crochet them together with a single crochet stitch and stuffing them for more puffy look. I will also be making two small chain 2 loops on top and and two on the bottom to string the letter. You can skip that if you don't want the small loops for the sting to run along.
