Crochet alphabet letter C

This crochet letter B pattern is a easy to follow along with row by row written pattern and a diagram and for just in case a YouTube video tutorial if you want to double check how a stitch is made or joined.

Stuffed amigurumi crochet letter from crochet alphabet series of tutorials is 30 rows high. With a 3mm crochet hook it comes out around 13cm (5inc) high.

Materials needed for the letter:

  • crochet hook (3 mm)
  • yarn (appropriate size for the crochet hook) – I am using 2 different colors
  • scissors
  • needle
  • stuffing
  • something to count the rows

 

The stitches used in this pattern are:

  • sl st – slip stitch
  • ch – chain stitch - o
  • sc – single crochet stitch - X
  • inc – single crochet increase stitch (make 2 in 1) - V
  • dec – single decrease crochet stich - upside down V

The crochet pattern for the letter C is easy to follow along and the only stitches used are chain stitches, single crochet stitches, increase stitches (2sc in 1) and decrease stitches (sc tog 2).

The letter C is made in four (4) stages or parts.

  • R5: ch1, inc, 16sc, inc
  • R6: ch1, inc, 18sc, inc

Part 3: black and red - top "tooth" (working in the 10th stitch of R23' from end)

Part 4: blue and purple - bottom "tooth" (working in the 10th stitch of R7 from end)

You can use the letter just as it is (blocking it) but I will be making 2 of each and crochet them together with a single crochet stitch and stuffing them for more puffy look. I will also be making two small chain 2 loops on top and and two on the bottom to string the letter. You can skip that if you don't want the small loops for the sting to run along.
